Chair of Joblife Employment, Professor Peter Shergold, today announced the appointment of Ms Nunzia Confessore to the position of CEO of disability employment services provider, Joblife Employment.
In welcoming Ms Confessore, Professor Shergold said her background in employment services, business, training and management would take Joblife Employment further in its goal to be a five-star provider of disability employment services.
“Nunzia has had the opportunity to grow many successful and sustainable organisations by leading and coaching teams to achieve high performance outcomes, through creating a vision that incorporates transparency by keeping people informed and leading by example,” he said.
“Nunzia impressed the board with her commitment and vision to changing the lives of people with disability. She has a strong understanding of the sector and I am confident she will be able to take the business into the next phase of growth.
“She will be an asset to the business and I look forward to working with her.”
Nunzia said she was looking forward to managing a business that had already had such a positive impact on so many people.
“My aim is to help the team realise their self-worth and to help them recognise how each team member can achieve their fullest potential in the workplace and the greater community, for the benefits of our clients.”
Professor Peter Shergold thanked Anthony Parsons (who had been interim CEO) for his work in steering the young start-up which officially opened for business just over a year ago.
“Anthony and his team have been instrumental in building the business from 200 clients to almost 2000 in a short period of time. Joblife set out to be a disrupter to the disability employment sector and its rapid growth demonstrates it will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.”
Mr Parsons will take up the position of Deputy CEO of the Angus Knight Group and will oversee the jobactive, Parents Next and Disability Employment Services businesses within the group.
CEO of AKG, Michael Hobday, welcomed Mr Parsons back to AKG and said he was looking forward to Anthony working across the businesses to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
Mr Parsons said he was looking forward to his new role and offered his full support to Nunzia as she takes over the reins.
“It has been a pleasure to be involved in an organisation that has influenced the lives of so many people. My thanks goes to the Board for their support and direction,” he said.
Anthony and Nunzia will officially start their new roles on 12 August 2019.
